Read the Paytable Before the First Real-Money Spin

Identify the winning system

Find whether the game uses paylines, adjacent reels, ways, clusters or scatter-count payouts. Note the direction and starting-reel requirement. A symbol combination that looks complete may not qualify if it starts on the wrong reel or misses an active line. If the game changes reel height or number of ways, check whether the displayed ways apply to the current spin or only a feature state.

Translate the prize into the actual stake

Some tables display coin values, line-bet multiples or total-bet multiples. Confirm the denomination, coins per line and total stake shown beside the spin control. A ‘100x’ win normally means a multiple of a defined bet basis, not a fixed C$100. Progressive jackpot values can follow separate qualifying stakes or contribution rules and should be checked independently.

Trace wilds, scatters and modifiers

Read substitution exclusions, stacked or expanding behaviour, multiplier timing and scatter requirements. Check whether a wild’s multiplier applies once, combines additively or multiplies with another symbol. For free spins, record the trigger count, number of awarded spins, retrigger rule and whether the reels or paytable change. Do not assume the demo and real-money mode share every promotional overlay.

Confirm version and unresolved rules

Look for game identifier, software provider, rule version and active RTP. If a feature description is unclear, stop and use the operator’s official help route before staking money. Take a screenshot of the relevant rule and transaction ID if a settled round appears inconsistent. The server-side round record, not the animation alone, is the basis for a game-result query.
